At Melton Secondary College students who demonstrate high ability in areas of the curriculum will be invited to participate in a series of enrichment and extension activities to enhance their learning and engagement. Our dedicated High Ability Practice Leader will facilitate programs based on student needs and interests.
Opportunities this year have included a Mathematics extension program, Coding program and STEM enrichment opportunities.
The college will also nominate students for inclusion in The Victorian Challenge and Enrichment Series for government secondary schools and facilitate participation for students nominated for the Victorian High Ability Program. Melton Secondary College offers a number of additional enrichment opportunities for students that go beyond the classroom. These include a well-established Student Leadership structure, Instrumental Music program, Athlete Development Program, Language Emersion Program.
