Meet the Wellbeing Team

Ms Kriss Payne – Assistant Principal – Director of Student Services and Operations

Kriss leads our student services with passion and dedication. Recently, she has taken on this new portfolio including overseeing the Allied Health Team to ensure students receive comprehensive support tailored to their individual needs.

With many years of experience in education, Kriss is committed to fostering an environment where every child feels safe, supported and empowered to reach their full potential. Her leadership drives initiative that promotes wellbeing, inclusivity, and success for all members of the school community

Colin Kiel – Head of Wellbeing

With 2025 being his third year in the role, Colin is a cornerstone of our wellbeing program. Alongside his teaching responsibilities, he plays a vital role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the Allied Health Team, ensuring seamless collaborations to meet the needs of our students.

His key responsibilities include student advocacy, strategic planning and implementing initiatives that enhance the wellbeing of the entire school community. With a steadfast commitment to fostering a positive and supportive environment, Colin ensures every student has the opportunity to thrive both personally and academically.

Stacey James- Duty Worker (Social Worker)

Approaching her 10th year at Melton Secondary College, Stacey is dedicated to supporting students and their families within the education system.  In 2025, Stacey’s primary role is the duty worker for the team, often serving as the first point of contact for students and families seeking support. She provides accessible and immediate wellbeing assistance for students without the need for an appointment or an allocated worker.

In term 2, Stacey will take on a small caseload to support some of our most high needs students.

Liam Jilla – Counsellor

Liam is a dedicated counsellor committed to supporting the Wellbeing of our students. Whilst he takes on several roles within the school, Liam’s main two roles include providing counselling and delivering proactive small group programs aimed at fostering resilience, emotional growth, and positive relationships.

Liam is known for his strong connections with students and his flexible approach to counselling interventions, ensuring that support is tailored to meet the unique needs of each individual. His ability to create a safe and welcoming environment makes him a vital part of our team.

Alisha Pitisano- Student Wellbeing and Engagement Officer

A lisha is our “jack of all trades” – because of her versatile role and ability to support various aspects of the schools’ wellbeing programs. She manages key initiatives that serve the entire school community such as Breakfast Club and the Doctor’s in Schools Program. These programs ensure that students have access to essential resources that contribute to their physical and mental wellbeing.

In addition to her whole school responsibilities, Alisha also facilitates small group programs, complete intake assessments with student who are referred to our team -making sure they are supported in a timely and appropriate manner. Her ability to balance and excel in these varied responsibilities, while always being a positive and energetic approach, make her a vital and beloved member of the school community.

Daniella Giampino – Counsellor

With over 8 years of dedicated service to Melton Secondary College, Dani is an integral part of our team. Currently available on Monday and Thursdays, Dani provides counselling support and facilitates proactive small group programs tailored to student needs.

Her deep knowledge of the community, combined with her exceptional ability to engage and work with students on diverse goals, make her a trusted and valued team member. Dani is passionate about helping students develop confidence, resilience, and the tools to succeed both inside and outside the classroom.

Cynthia Flores- Health Promotion Nurse

Employed by the Department of Education’s Secondary School Nursing Program, Cynthia is with us every Thursday and Friday. In her role, Cynthia plays a key part in shaping strategies aimed at optimising health outcomes.   Her nursing background in public health and adolescent health allows her to offer specialised insights and supports to both students and staff. In addition, she forges strong links with the wider Melton Community to deliver immunisations, dental, sexual health service, and others to our school population.

Cynthia is a calming and reassuring presence within our team, known for her practical approach to health education. She brings this expertise to small group programs throughout the year, empowering students with the knowledge and skills they need to make healthy choices and live well.

Noureen Moghbelpour – Provisional Psychologist- Psychs in Schools

Employed by the Psychs in Schools organisation, Noureen is a integral part of our team, working with us four days a week- three days at the main campus and one day at FLO campus.  Noureen provides therapeutic interventions to support students with their emotional and mental health needs. She brings her own knowledge and skills to her role while also being supported by supervisors at Psychs in Schools, ensuring that she is delivering the best possible care.

With her dedication and commitment, Noureen strives to creating a safe and supportive environment for students, helping them navigate challenges, and develop effective coping skills.
